Kujon is an utility (perl script), which is intendet to help in the
process of learning foreign languages. It asks you questions, and
expects answers. Right now it can work in two modes; testing mode and
learning mode. One of them checks how much do you know already, and the
second tries to teach you everything from the database.

The use of this utility is not limited to learning languages. I have
used it also for learning math formulas, some physics laws, etc.

The program was developed as an interface to database files, produced
by an old DOS program, ETeacher.

It is available at
http://dione.ids.pl/~pborys/software/linux/kujon-0.0.1.tar.gz

=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====

Hello,

I'm pleased to announce the release of Cyrus imapd 1.6.13.

Cyrus imapd is a high performance, sealed-server IMAP server for many
versions of Unix. It supports multiple methods of authentication and
in very scalable.

Please read the doc/install carefully, even if you are upgrading. In
particular, the format used to synchronize with Usenet news has
changed since the last release, and many things have changed since
versions 1.5.x.

Some pesky deliver bugs have hopefully been fixed in this release.

Download Cyrus imapd at:

From: Steven Flintham <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: Nc100em v1.1 (Amstrad NC100 emulator) uploaded
Date: Thu, 2 Sep 1999 19:05:05 GMT

=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====

[I (Russell Marks) don't have net access, but Steven has been kind
enough to upload/post on my behalf.]

Nc100em is an Amstrad NC100 emulator. There are four versions:

  gnc100em - (for X) a GTK+-based version
  snc100em - an svgalib version
  tnc100em - a tty-based version
  xnc100em - (for X) an Xlib-based version

The emulators can run both the ROM software and ZCN, my free CP/M-like
OS for the NC100. *The ROM is not included*, so if you want to use the
ROM stuff you'll have to transfer it yourself (nc100em comes with a
`romdump' program you can do this with). A public domain ROM is
supplied which is good enough to run ZCN.

Note that, in the light of the new GTK+-based version, which I'm much
more happy with than the kludgey old Xlib one, I'm very likely to drop
the Xlib-based variant in the next release. If you think this is a
terrible idea, and think I should keep it around for some reason, now
would be a good time to say so. :-)

Changes in version 1.1:

New GTK+-based version (gnc100em), supports runtime change of scale,
and has the NC100 screen in a scrollable window, so you can use a
scaled-up display without needing to accommodate such a wide window
as with xnc100em.

You can now set the default scale with `-S'. Only the GTK+ version
takes notice of this currently.

Added support for bitdepths other than 1-bit and 8-bit to xnc100em.
Thanks to Steven Flintham for pointing this out (bizarrely, I seemed
to have neglected to mention it in any docs). It's not as fast as it
could be, but it should at least work on all bitdepths.

Made xnc100em's display differential like the svgalib version, so it
only outputs lines which need to be output.

Added parallel printer support. If any printing takes place, the raw
output is dumped in ~/nc100/printout.dat, appending output onto the
end of the file if it already exists.

The stop-dead key is now F8 in all versions, with F10 now doing the
`nice' context-saving exit. (Using F5 for a context-saving exit
still works though.)

New `-m' option, causes modification of `colour' key messages in
(real) ROM (no effect when using builtin ROM), to make them more
understandable when using nc100em. For example, with `-m', nc100em
changes "YELLOW & RED" to "INSERT & LEFT".

xnc100em now supports `delete window' message from window manager -
it acts like F10 (doing a graceful context-saving exit).

Serial support is (apart from in tnc100em) no longer enabled by
default; you have to specifically choose to have it, with the `-s'
option. I think this makes a lot more sense than the old behaviour,
which in retrospect was pretty broken.

Fixed an embarrassing bug in xnc100em (inappropriate code left over
from xz80) which meant you couldn't use the left shift key to
uppercase alphabetic chars. What can I say, except possibly that I
use the right shift key... :-) Thanks to Steven Flintham for
pointing out this bug.

Fixed the old bug where xnc100em wasn't redrawing in some
circumstances.

Added support for left-win as `Function' in the svgalib version -
probably preferable to using Insert :-), but only works on a Win95
keyboard. Similarly, added support for Super/Hyper modifiers as
alternative ways of getting `Function' in the X versions - so on a
Win95 keyboard under XFree86, you can use the win or menu keys to
get it.

Renamed svgalib version (formerly `nc100em') to `snc100em'.

Here's the LSM entry:

- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Begin3
Title: nc100em
Version: 1.1
Entered-date: 08JUL99
Description: Nc100em is an Amstrad NC100 emulator. There are
                actually four versions:

                gnc100em - (for X) a GTK+-based version
                snc100em - an svgalib version
                tnc100em - a tty-based version
                xnc100em - (for X) an Xlib-based version

The emulators can run both the ROM software and ZCN,
my free CP/M-like OS for the NC100. *The ROM is not
included*, so if you want to use the ROM stuff you'll

Though I (rjm) wrote nc100em etc., I give Ian main author
credit as I used his Z80 emulation (from his excellent
`xz80' ZX Spectrum emulator), which is the most
difficult bit, not to mention being half the code. :-)
(Please don't contact Ian in relation to nc100em; I just
used his code, he wasn't otherwise involved. The email
address below is given only for completeness, and
                might be out of date.)

Psprint is a small utility that allows you to print selected pages from a
postscript document.
You can select a range of pages, or only odd or even pages, and print in
reverse order.
Great for printing both-sided a document that in you received in raw
postscript (save the trees!)

Psprint is a command line utility, but there is a tcl/Tk interface for those
who'd rather click than type.

Psprint can be downloaded from Adalog's software components page, at
http://pro.wanadoo.fr/adalog
License is Adalog's "advertizeware" license, i.e. you can do what you want
with it, provided you don't remove the small add for Adalog in the source
and the documentation.

As usual, all feedback is welcome.

Subject: The Linux Console Tools 0.2.2
Date: Thu, 2 Sep 1999 19:04:35 GMT
Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====

Stable release 0.2.2 of the Linux Console Tools is now available from
http://www.multimania.com/ydirson/soft/lct/.

Here are the release informations:

This is release 0.2.2 of the Linux console-tools.

This release is a bugfix release for 0.2.1, and additionnaly
includes russian and german messages. See ChangeLog for details.

0.2.0 was the first of a stable branch. The data files (keymaps,
fonts and tables) formerly part of this package have been moved to a
 new console-data package.

The 0.2.x branch will only get bug fixes and critically missing
features - all development will be done on the still-to-come 0.3.x
 branch.

PLEASE NOTE that this release has not yet support for the CP
fontfile format back yet. It has been integrated in development
 version 0.3.0.

Although it is now quite stable, this package is currently under
development: use it at your own risks. However, it should already be
a good replacement for `kbd', and you might like the features not
found in the latter, but (as usual) you have NO WARANTY of any kind.

Some interface-level features are still liable to change (program names,
option names, etc.).

Much work is needed to really get Unicode stuff usable. This will be
one of my primary goals. It will probably imply hacking the kernel as
well for some features, but the kernel-part is being thoroughly
rewritten by the GGI project, so don't hold you breath...

This package is based on `kbd-0.94', and is mostly up to date with
0.99, of which it corrects some bugs, and to which it adds several
features (Message i18n, Screen-font-map fallback tables, 16-bit
Application-Charset Maps (also called "console maps" or "screen
maps"), can now output PSF files and use "-" to read/write most files
to stdin/stdout, can make use of the G1 charset slot, etc.).

Please send all bug reports, suggestions, or anything else to myself,
(but take a look at the "TODO" file first), feedback will be greatly
appreciated.

Please get in touch with me before starting to modify this package, to
prevent duplicated work - it's enough work to keep in sync with new
kbd releases until we merge; as this code is expected to evolve quite
rapidly, it would also be helpful that not too many persons work on
the same pieces of code at the same time, to ease integration.
