Howdy, I have been using StarOffice 4.0 for a month now; nice program but would be better if it didn't bring along its own: mouse driver, window manager, spell checker, or math symbology engine. I suppose that's the price of portability. Anyway, I am having trouble making the equation editor do what I want. It seems to use the period as a reserved symbol (not a nice thing at all). Does anyone know how to put a decimal point into an SO4 equation. I'd rather not use scientific notation evertime I need 1.5. Also, I'd rather not go into LyX or TeX and then try to figure out how to scab it back into my document. Thanks, Matthew _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
