I've recently upgraded my version of X from XFree86 3.1.2 to version 3.3.2.3
and installed a binary distribution.
I have problems when displaying man pages in xterms. The fonts go into
reverse video and underline mode at random when scrolling up and down and the
effect lasts unti lanother font change occurs. Ie. the underline and reverse
video features are being turned on but aren't being turned off until the next
attempt to use them. When scrolling by whole pages the effect is confined to
only a line or two.
Does anyone know the cause of this. I read that there were bugs introduced
into xterm versions in 3.3 but they were supposedly erradicated in a patch and
had nothing to do with this behaviour anyway.
When displaying man pages from a console the problem does not occur.
