Hi,

I'm planning to run a database system on a dual PII-300 MHz system. I'm
looking into commercial systems. The options I have here are:

- Oracle 8.01 for Linux (pre-release version);
- Informix-SE for Linux;
- Adabas D 10.01 Personal Edition.

Has anyone had any experience with anyone of this systems? I will need to
have some kind of interface from the DB to Apache or Stronghold (Apache +
SSLeay).

My questions are:
 - how well do they scale on SMP systems;
 - what is the maximum size of the database;
 - what kind of module/interface/API is available for interfacing to Apache.

Is there any other DBMS worth considering that I'm missing here?

Your help is greatly appreciated!
