The 'exports' directory is not a dynamically read file. It is only read
once when the services start up. Try a HUP or restart on the rpc.portmap,
nfsd, and mountd services. Likewise, you could just reboot. :) Also, make
sure that both systems are in each other's /etc/hosts.allow file -- if
your TCP services are wrapped.
