What errors do you get?
Is the card in the XF86 card database in the config program? Does "X
-probeonly" detect the card OK?
Try the X server from SUSE (www.suse.org). They tend to have support for the
newer (particularly PII based) cards.
Can you try a different card to make sure that the Xserver is installed and
running properly?
