new video codecs?

Hello,
I have xanim installed and it can not open videos that are compressed
with
Cinepak (.avi and .mov).
The version I have is from June 1997, Do you know of another program or
maybe an updated version of xanim that can decode Cinepak?
Please point me to some URL about it.
