I have an ES1868 based sound card (Audiodrive, ISA 16bit) in my home PC. Every time I start up the machine running linux the sound mixer levels revert to factory setting and I have to start up a mixer program again (I use xmix - it's simple) and reset those levels. Win95 manages to keep the settings OK. Does anyone know a way of keeping the levels? I figure it's a Plug&Play problem since I don't have the problem with the old SB16 card in my work machine under the same linux setup.
