Is there any alternative to xvidtune?
I have an XGA monitor which supports high resolution modes but I can't get
the video timings quite right. It is designed for VESA modes but the VESA
timings given in the sample XF86Config file don't work properly, ie. they are
determined to be "UNKNOWN" modes. Win95/3.1 video timings are detected as the
correct VESA modes. This is a problem because the monitor seems to lose signal
timing when not in exact VESA mode (I figure the monitor must a bit stuffed
but it works fine in VESA mode).
Alternatively is there somewhere that gives info on how to set video timings
to be VESA compliant?
