As far as I know, Linux is Y2K safe because of the date mechanism running by seconds since 1980 (or whenever it is). However, what problems can be expected when using a BIOS which is not Y2K compliant. I'm running a Pentium system and I know for a fact that the BIOS will have Y2K problems. What I don't know is whether those problems will flow on to the operating system. Thanks Rich
