Are there any decent freeware sound programs out there that anyone knows
of? I need a WAV player/editor, and some good CD ripping software as well
(I do a lot of DJ work on the side, and sometimes setting up the laptop
with a few MP3s is a lot easier for taking a break then making people
listen to the full version of In A Gadda Da Vida while I eat a sandwich
and smoke a cigarette :> ) Also, a program to convert WAVs to MP3s if
possible.

I'm using X11Amp, and love it, but I havn't found a decent WAV editor that
ran correctly without a lot of hassle. If the WAV player has a CLI as
well as a GUI, that's perfect (Startup sounds are so much fun, especially
to co-workers)

TIA
