Any alternative to fetchmail??

I am looking for an application like fetchmail, which can
fetch the mails from an IMAP server and dump them in
some local mail folder. I DO NOT want it to be delivered
to the SMTP port of this machine. If anyone knows of
such and application, please let me know.
