I would say that mp3blaster is the best, i have done some CPU load
tests on it and it has quite a constant cpu demand opposite to players
like x11 amp kamp wich has a sometimes very high and sometimes very
low load. MP3 Blaster is the player according to my experience and not
to cpu meters that best can play songs without intterupts when other
apps are running in the back. And best it runs in the console and it
has a nice ascii gui too.
Tests was done on my 133 Mhz Cyrix with 64 Mb RAM and quite a slow
harddrive so i think it could run without problems on a good (100
Mhz) 486
