Hi.
Does anyone know how to get Star Office to work again after it is crashed
out?
More details:
I have a number of user accounts on this RedHat 6.1 PC, and for any oar all
of the accounts I can install Star Office with no problem. (I previously did a
NET install on the machine and then each user gets a "local" install,
running the main prog off this machine.) It all works nicely.
But is a user crashes out of Star office, that user cannot run Star office
again - you type soffice and it takes about 5 seconds to give you the prompt
back, nothing else happens.
If you try and run it directly from the main install dir (/usr/Office5.1/bin) you
get the same results.
If you delete the Star Office folder from the user's directory, and also the
.sversionrc and .user.rdb files which Office creates, you still cannot ever
install Start Office for that user again. If you delete and recreate the user, it
works.
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening, and more to the point how
to stop it happening!?

Thanks.

Paul.
