I'm getting very frustrated at this.
I keep asking for help on how to do something, and keep getting advice on
security. I don't normally discuss my security over the internet (Rule One of
Security: don't tell anyone!), but I will say this: This anon ftp server is NOT
connected to the Internet. I will NOT discuss why I don't want to set up a
separate user for ftp access.
I HAVE read all the man pages. As I said, ftpaccess is identical on this
server as on another server that DOES allow uploads. The only difference between
the two is Redhat 6.1 vs. 5.2.
Or maybe I'm reading this wrong: are you (and others) telling me that the
anon ftp server in Redhat 6.1 DOES NOT ALLOW uploads (at all)? That the ONLY way
I'm going to get uploads is to create a separate account?
