Hi, everyone: My Panasoic KX-p4430 laser printer (can be emulated by HP lasetJet II/III) is not responding to my newly install RadHat 6.1. So I did the following: 1) add a line "alisa parport_lower parport_pc" in the file of /etc/conf.modules. 2) delete all files and directories under /var/spool/lpd and delete file /etc/printcap. 3) install the updated lpr-0.48-1.i386.rpm 4) reinstall the printer with filter HP laseJet II( I tryed the HP laseJet too) But my printer is still not responding to any print commands either from termal or from gedit and gnotepad+. The gedit even crash when I tryed to print. Strangely,I can print from Netscape Com 4.61. Dose anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thank you in advance.
