Hello people,

Many of you will have found Chris Rutter's 'GNU toolchain for ARM targets'
guide useful in unravelling the mysteries of generating a cross-compiling
toolchain. It had been getting out of date for a while so I've given it a
major update and re-write, adding info on currently available pre-compiled
toolchains too. This was primarily to go in as a chapter of my 'guide to
ARMLinux' book, but I've fettled the SGML to produce a stand-alone HOWTO
version too. This has now gone online at:

http://www.armlinux.org/docs/toolchain/
and I've replaced the old version with a link.

I should also credit Paul Webb, for docbookizing it, and Phil Blundell and
Jeff Sutherland for providing feedback and updates. Jeff and I will continue
to maintain it.

Hope that's useful. If you link to this resource changing the link to the
above would be a good idea as Chris's pages will probably disappear
eventually. This home should be reasonably permanent.

If you see mistakes, or have improvements, please tell me or Jeff. If you
want to make significant updates ask for a copy of the SGML source first.

Wookey
