It is diffecult to give assistance on this problem because:
o What version of X are you using?
o What does your host.def file look like?
o What commands did you use to build?
o Are you cross compiling?
o Where are you trying to install X?
o Are you NFS mounting your target directory or are you native?
o What command are you using to install?
The language also poses a minor problem for me.
I have built Tiny-X using a MontaVista distribution of a MIPS kernel and tools. I cross
compiled and NFS mount my root file system for my MIPS board. If you are doing
something
similar for SA, we should be able to solve these problems.
If anybody objects we might need to move this discussion to one of the X lists.
