The approach we used was to use a TI chipset (TSB12LV01B + TSB41LV02A) on
the SA-1110 variable-latency static memory interface. The only hangup from
a design standpoint is the supply of a "bus clock," which I'm hoping we've
successfully emulated using the SMROM clock. Caveat: I haven't gotten
around to verifying this implementation on the current hardware revision.
