So what kernel are you using? SA1100 or IXP1200? If it is a normal
SA1100 kernel, it's no problem, you can download any binary you like.
However, the IXP1200 kernel puts the CPU in big endian mode, so little
endian ARM binaries won't work on it.

There are numerous "normal" ARM linux binaries available for download;
AFAIK Debian currently has the largest collection (if you don't have a
debian system, expand the deb files with "ar xv foo.deb", the file
data.tar.gz contains the binaries). ftp.arm.linux.org.uk also has quite
some rpms online.
