All,

We trying to get a JFFS installed on our hardware. Intel Strataflash.

I configure the kernel 2.4.2 to the HOWTO supplied by the MTD Group.
Everything looks good, but I can't see or mount the filesystem.

MEssages:
SA1110 flash: probing for 1 partition (bw width 4)
SA1100: found 2 x 16 CFI devices at location 0 in 16 bit mode
JEDEC ID: 89 18
mtd: Giving out device0 to mtdblock1
SA1100 flash access initialized

JFFS version 1.0 (C) 1999, 2000 AXis ....

End Debug MEssages.

When I print out the /proc/mtd file.

Dev:    size            erase size      name
mtd0    01000000        00040000        "mtdblock1"

My initrd runs fine everything boots, but I can not mount the jffs.

mount -t jffs /dev/mtdblock0or1 /mnt/jffs

I am using:
mknod /dev/mtd0 c 90 0
mknod /dev/mtdblock b 31 0

getting wrong major or minor number

I also flash the mkfs.jffs generated file to the stucture location:
static struct mtd_partition assabet_partitions[] = {
    {
      name:   "mtdblock1",
      size:   0x01000000,
      offset: 0x00B80000
    }
};

Any Help appreciated.

Danny
