You could have saved yourself a lot of work by looking at the list
archives. In addition to the things on handhelds.org suggested by
George, there's also the ARMLinux toolchain guide at
<http://www.armlinux.org/docs/toolchain/>
Furthermore, I did the same thing as you a few months ago: I wrote a
script which does all the unpacking, configuring, compiling and
installing of the different components. It is a bit more generic
because it is not tied to particular versions of the software. If
you're lucky (and you supply versions that work together), you can
just run the script and end up with a working toolchain a few hours
later:
