Maybe this works (it's from my mind, not tested :-)
export LD_LIBRARY_PRELOAD=/path/to/the/glibc.so
Also, as far as I know, ldconfig is statically linked. So "ldconfig"
should help. "man ldconfig" indicates that this will create the proper
links, except when called with "-X". "-l" also looks interesting.
