it seems that after a few (about 3-4) telnet sessions the in.telnetd is not responding
at all, and the previous sessions are stuck
in mode of CLOSE_WAIT.
i digged a bit and saw that tcpd requires initlog and its not working (its just not in
the image) but it does not seem to be the
main problem, but a side one.

addon: i saw that most applications are trying to connect to /dev/log . why and what
for ? is it working at all ? is there such
device ?

i also installed wu-ftpd in default configuration from netwinder rpm's and i'm not
getting any response either from it.
(the ftp client says "connecting..." and i see that a new tcpd has started, but it
stuck there).

i tried to use the new lart jffs image, but it not support multi-user environment, and
it does not have any telnetd on it, nor
network.

is there a COMPLETE, usefull jffs/ramdisk image out there ?

my config:
Assabet rev.8 board
redboot
zImage-2.4.6-rmk2-np1
pcmcia services 3.1.22
sample.jffs2 (of nico's)

thanks,

Gad
