Hi all,

I just installed linux 2.4.17-rmk5 on my cdb89712 board and everything runs
great :-) . There is one thing though, I found that there is a patch for a
2.4.16-rmk2 (written by Ray Lehtiniemi) that enables ethernet support (for
cs89712) for 2.4.16 kernels. I couldn't find ethernet support in the config
of the kernel that I run now. If I choose Network device support in the 'make
xconfig menu' then the cs89x0 driver selection is dimmed so I can't select
it. Does this mean that I need a patch to get ethernet working or do I need
to do some other changes in my config. If I need a patch, could I use the
2.4.16-rmk2-rayl1 patch for 2.4.17-rmk5 as well ??

I could also switch back to a 2.4.16-rmk2 kernel but I am afraid that this
messes up libraries (libc ) that I compiled using the kernel headers of
2.4.17-rmk5

Any help is welcome,

Thanks

Lambert Duijst
