Doh, ignore my last message. I was mixing up getgroups and setgroups. I tried this myself (copying getgroups.c into the arm directory) just now and it seems to work. You need to delete sysd-syscalls at the top level of the glibc build tree too, otherwise it doesn't notice that getgroups has changed.
