Hi !
I'm new to ARM and I need to setup a build environement for tests with a
BSA285 eval. board (will be hosted on a linux-ppc machine). I'm
dowloading egcs-1.1.2 right now from cygnus and I grabbed philb patches
for it, but I don't know which binutils I need. Will the latest
(2.9.1.0.22b) work or should I stick to xxxx.19 and do I need to apply
patches to the standard distrib ?
The goal is to experiment with bootstrap code for use with a custom made
board based on the SA110, and later, to compile the linux kernel (for use
on this board).
Also, are there any instructions indicating how to setup a cross-compile
build environement with egcs ? I don't have an ARM machine, so I'll have
to do my builds from linux-ppc (or eventually linux-x86).
Thanks !
