That depends greatly on how much experience you have of manual SMT rework.
95% odds of totally ruining is is about right if you've never done any,
I'd give myself about 50% odds of doing some damage, and some of the
people I've worked with in the past, I'd give them about 90% odds of doing
it without damaging it at all.

Not quite impossible. You need a microscope, a very fine tipped iron, a
steady hand, a rework pen (basically a pen with thin flux in it), plenty
of solder wick, and _lots_ of patience. It isn't impossible though.
