This will be tough. The X build system is a bit of a nightmare. What you
need to do is convince it to use your native imake rather than building a new
copy, and then persuade imake to use a different C compiler to normal. After
that it shouldn't be that much different to a native build. There might be a
couple of other programs that get compiled and executed during the build - you
will have to deal with these as and when you encounter them.
