What kernel is this with?  If it's an unpatched RMK 2.0 release I think this 
is a known problem.

On both the Debian boxes I have here (one Intel and one ARM) the ldd 
executable is a script, and /lib/ld-linux.so.2 belongs to the libc6 package.
What source package was your ld-linux.so.2 built from?
