eth0 - strange behaviour

Hi,
after installing via my eth0-card and ftp the card doesn't startup anymore..
Each booting contains some 'eth0 initialising delayed'

The point is the card is brandnew-upgraded just returned a week ago from 
i-cubed.
But as I used it for installing I suppose it runs somehow.

Any hints ?
