I'm currently running Linux on an ebsa-285 clone board. My company
designed a board similar to the ebsa-285, but it has different ethernet
and a bunch of additional devices on it. Linux runs fine. We are using
the debian 'potato' distribution, and running it disklessly for now.
Mostly we are prototyping things on it now, with the hopes of using it
in actual product in the next year. It is wonderful to work with, and
worlds apart from vxWorks, which we were previously using. Having
access to the source is a wonderful thing! If you have specific
questions, feel free to ask. I'll be at Usenix this week, so I probably
won't be able to respond until next week.
