You can find the latest patch for Brutus (and other SA1100 implementations
except the Itsy) at ftp.netwinder.org/users/n/nico.

With 1 mb of ram, the kernel is likely to run but not much.

It depends of what you want to do. I was able to run a multithreaded
application plus the kernel with the ATAPI cdrom driver in 2 MB of ram.
But you should give more details on your goal for us to tell you if 1 MB
is enough. But at that point, the kernel will eat up mostly the halp of
total memory, so...
