Hello,
I am in a situation where I need some help. I need to build a computer
to place at a customer site. Because of the requirements, Linux and an ARM
processor seem like they'd be perfect. Here is the situation:

-The computer needs to act as a firewall/router. It will run IP_masqurade
to translate private IP addresses to one public address.

-It needs to be able to operate reliably in an environment without a on
staff computer technician. Because these sites are scattered over a broad
region it's critical they be reliable.

-It needs to be fully enclosed. The environment may contain a heavy amount
of crud that could screw up a fan. It would also be nice to not have a
requirement about the fan being 10 inches from a wall.

-It needs to run some perl scripts and some custom C code. This is where
the bulk of the CPU time will go. I need a fairly powerful processor
(right now I use a pentium 133 and it's barely enough)

I've debated getting an evaluation board and trying to build my own machine
from the SA1100, but I thought I'd just throw this to the list and see if
anyone knows of a system that would do this.
