        Sorry, I don't know the answer to that; I'm a new to programming at
        this low level and IO ports are a concept that I haven't looked into yet.

        I have an NCR53c8xxx scsi card pluged into slot 3 and maped into PCI memory
        at offset 0x1000 and 3com 3c905 card pluged into slot 2 and maped into PCI 
        IO space at offset 0x2000. All this is on a DEC PCI development backplane.
