I am rather new to Linux, but I'm excited about what I've seen so far!
I have experience working in higher level languages like Java, Lisp, and I am currently learning C and C++. However, I would like to learn assembly language. I want to get set up for assembly language program on my Linux box instead of my Windows box. I was hoping that this list could get me pointed in the right direction. I'm running Debian sarge on a Pentium 3/i686 machine. I'll need suggestions on an open source assembler that will be compatible with the architecture I have on my Debian box, and on some documentation that will get me started. Is there a place to find the instruction set for the i686 instruction set online? Thanks, Landon - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-assembly" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
