Well, I have a project using multiple CS4385s (8 outputs each) and multiple CS5368 (8 inputs each), so yea, some of us do things with largish IO counts. Now, does anyone know where to source Envy24s from? The usual suspects don't seem to carry them, and I doubt that Via will be interested in selling me a dozen examples!
