Perhaps someone who knows could explain briefly how reliable the dbus daemon is in terms of frequency of calls made in and out, and the timing involved.
For example, does the daemon make calls continually in and out, much like a dongle in commercial software, and does it do so in an ordered fashion? Or does the daemon only serve to switch things on and off?
