Qt has QAtomicInt and QAtomicPointer. Furthermore it has QSharedData and assorted QSharedPointer(s) used for ref-counting and copy-on-write. All atomic (on all Qt-supported platforms) and very useful. Using the header you cited directly actually breaks cross-platform usability. Have fun, Arnold
