Neither of these happens with the TAP plugins here. If dlopen returns NULL the reason can be as simple as the .so file not being there - you have to search LADSPA_PATH. The OP wrote that this happens with his reduced-to-minimum test. Then if the full test crashes on the same, there must be some bug in that test code, maybe something from a previous iteration not being cleaned up. -- FA A world of exhaustive, reliable metadata would be an utopia.
