Are you coding ALSA yourself, or using a helper library? I can recommend Fons' zita-alsa-pcmi, latest version from: http://kokkinizita.linuxaudio.org/linuxaudio/downloads/ Its a lightweight GPLv3 wrapper class around the ALSA API to make it easier to use for real-time audio applications, and I have found it a pleasure to work with. > How can i make alsa not wait until the entire buffer is full? I don't know the answer, because I used the zita-alsa-pcmi and just wrote audio into the buffers :) Cheers, -Harry -- http://www.openavproductions.com
