I've looked through it a couple of times, and I think I have a vague idea
of what's going on, but I'm not sure what advantages it has over Pauls
implementation, and its a lot more complicated.
I think I like the fine grained error handling and so on, but I'm not
convinced it will be that useful.
Do you have any sample implementations of clients?
