I know of no direct analogs to Acid, but you might want to check out
TerminatorX, or anything on the "Digital DJ" section on Dave Phillips'
site.

Ardour (a big mutli-track recording/editing/mixing app) could probably use
a few contributors with good C++ and GTK chops.
