[linux-audio-dev] ossmixer latency =1.4msecs

Hi,
using a
             mandrake 8.1 kernel-2.4.8
             audio card midiman delta1010

and running the ossmixer utility with the oss drivers,
I watched the I/O latency on a scope.
It was about 1.4 msecs.
is there something about ossmixer that bypasses the latency
deal by putting the codecs in a loop back mode?
