Indeed it would.  The possibilities of a LADSPA- (or even JACK) based
sampler are (from the user's perspective) incredible.  By building the
program around LADSPA, you're guaranteeing that off the bat it will
already be able to play nicely with any other program that supports midi
(assuming that that's what you'll use to control the thing, as in most
software samplers) and LADSPA.  That's already a lot of apps, and the
number is sure to grow.
