i think so. when you have the disks on separate ide channels, you should see a greatly improved reading performance. however, there might be a small overhead for writing. if you're in for performance, i'd say get a decent backup medium and go for striping (RAID 0). one system disk, and a RAID0 pair for data. > Is it > highly recommended I not do this with ATA/100 disks?
