Hi,

Since I have yet to try Debian, I might change my religion also, if I do :-)

For now I'm quite content with Mandrakes current offers, very slick, VERY
uptodate. Not quite bugfree, but I've been with them for a while and know my way
around.

The latest releases (8.1 and 8.2) have also been quite standards compliant when
it comes to compiling code, earlier I've had tons of
autoconf/blablabla/yadayadayada problems. Now things are much smoother. I guess
this could also mean that code is of better quality these days, in general.

They also have the 2.96 compiler, but I haven't been able to fault it because of
any real life issue.

They do however still deliver alsa0.5 which is a pain.

Regards,
Robert
