I have a feeling that the reason you haven't gotten much help on this list is that most of the people on this list develop for ALSA and/or JACK, rather than OSS. You might want to consider trying alsa or jack out, since OSS is being moved out of the kernel ayway. -dgm (who doesn't want to start another API flamefest).
