Here is something that may help point the way. I need to load the
module, then unload it, then reload it before aplay or jack can be
started. I even moved the startup script, that sets up alsa, to the
front of the line. Same behaviour. I think aplay and jack both complain
about not being able to capture the playback something or another. I can
get more exact messages, If you think it will help. Currently I am just
using my ice1712 for playback, but thats getting old quick ;-)
