I haven't seen buzz for years - what does it have that is needed in Linux? IIRC it uses tracker style sequencers to control generators, which can then have effects machines process them. It's quite high level isn't it? Or can you get deep into the workings like PD? > > I am thinking about adding to Spiral Synth Modular so that it can > > provide what I want. I suppose I aimed SSM to be halfway between the full on visual programming language of PD and the high level "virtual studio". Also to keep quite strictly to the analogue modular approach, where everything is a CV. Having said that, I've been looking at passing midi around between plugins - to get polyphony working, (and we've already got mpeg video plugins, yet to be released). So it will be possible to make much bigger plugins and have seperate midi connections controlling them. But feel free to use the code as a base to create something completely different. Dave p.s. A tracker sequencer plugin is on the todo list for SSM - but it's getting to be quite a long list :( : www.pawfal.org :
